Md's Filler - Privacy Policy

1. Information We Do NOT Collect

Md's Filler does not collect any of the following:

• Personal Information: No names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any personally identifiable information
• Browsing Data: No browsing history, website visits, or web activity tracking
• Form Data: We never read, store, or transmit existing form data from websites
• Usage Analytics: No usage statistics, crash reports, or behavioral analytics
• Device Information: No device identifiers, IP addresses, or system information
• Location Data: No geographic location or GPS data

2. Local Data Storage

The extension stores the following data locally on your device using Chrome's secure storage API:

Settings and Preferences:

• Effect Area CSS selector (default: "body")
• Data source preference (Built-in vs Custom JSON)
• Field mapping configurations
• Random data generation rules (min/max length)
• Custom field selector mappings

Custom Data (Optional):

• User-uploaded JSON data files (if you choose to upload custom data)
• This data never leaves your device
• You can delete this data at any time

3. How the Extension Works

Form Filling Process:

• Extension generates fake data locally using built-in algorithms
• Data is inserted into form fields only when you click "Fill Form"
• No existing form data is read or accessed
• Only empty form fields are filled with test data

Website Interaction:

• Extension only interacts with websites when you explicitly activate it
• Limited to the "Effect Area" you specify (default: entire page)
• No background activity or automatic form filling
• No data is extracted from websites

4. Permissions Explanation

Storage Permission:

Used exclusively to save your preferences locally on your device. No data is transmitted externally.

ActiveTab Permission:

Allows the extension to fill forms on the current webpage when you request it. Limited to the active tab only.

Scripting Permission:

Required to inject form-filling functionality into webpages. Only activates when you click "Fill Form".

Host Permissions (All URLs):

Enables form filling across all websites where developers need to test forms. Essential for a development tool that works on various domains, localhost, and staging environments.

5. Third-Party Services

We do not use any third-party services, analytics, or external APIs.

• No Google Analytics or tracking services
• No external data processing services
• No cloud storage or remote servers
• No advertising networks or marketing tools
• No social media integrations

6. Data Security

• Local Storage: All data is stored using Chrome's secure local storage API
• No Transmission: No data is ever transmitted over the internet
• User Control: You have complete control over all stored data
• No External Access: No external services can access your data

7. Children's Privacy

This extension is designed for web developers and testers. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The extension does not collect any personal information from users of any age.

8. Your Rights and Control

• Data Access: All your data is stored locally and accessible to you
• Data Deletion: You can delete all extension data by removing the extension
• Settings Control: Modify or reset all settings through the extension interface
• Opt-Out: Simply uninstall the extension to stop all data storage

9. Changes to Privacy Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last Updated" date. Since the extension operates entirely locally, any changes will be reflected in extension updates through the Chrome Web Store.

10. Open Source Transparency

Md's Filler is built with transparency in mind. The extension code follows Chrome Web Store policies and best practices for user privacy and security.
